To assist grant awardees in the Iowa State Energy Program/American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) better understand the federal requirements and compliance issues of these funds, the Office of Energy Independence (OEI) will be hosting a training session on Wednesday, January 13th, 2010, at the Wallace State Office Building Auditorium, in Des Moines.
This training is strongly encouraged for all recipients. A map of the Capitol Complex locating of the Wallace State Office building and designated parking.

Governor Culver and the Office of Energy Independence today announced the first round of State Energy Program projects to receive federal stimulus awards.
Projects were awarded in the categories of public sector, private sector, non-profit sector, training and information, innovative projects and technology demonstration.
NOTE: All geothermal projects in the public sector are still under consideration and those awards will be announced soon.

All projects submitted to receive funding through the State Energy Program must utilize current technology. Any early commercialization, research, or development projects should apply for funding through the Iowa Power Fund. |
