Recovery Act: State Energy Program Funding

Through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the Office received approximately $40.5 million for its State Energy Program. The overarching goal of the State Energy Program funding is to help reduce per capita energy consumption by at least 25% of a state's 1990 per capita energy use by 2012.
The Office continues to review applications and has not made any funding decisions yet.

| Ineligible Projects |
All projects submitted to receive funding through the State Energy Program must utilize current technology. Any early commercialization, research, or development projects should apply for funding through the Iowa Power Fund. |
